Hey,

I've been scanning a ton of stuff, ads, articles, etc from old card magazines and I found this old Topps article on the 1990 George Bush card for those who are interested:

Click on the image for the full article, the blog cuts it in half. Pretty cool stuff, especially the binder full of them!!

I'm going to try adding a new feature to the blog, called "Cards you've never seen" which, for the most part, will actually be junk-era cards that most people have never seen, but even though this card pops up on ebay sometimes, I think it still qualifies for this theme.

My love for 1990 Topps and politics drives me toward one day owning a copy of this card.

A friend of mine who directs documentaries began work last summer on "the official" George HW Bush life story / documentary. They've been filming interviews with George and the family in Maine over the past year and it will probably be finished toward the end of this year or early 2011. Perhaps the release of the film will generate more interest in this card? I search Ebay periodically and I've never seen 1 for sale.

Sorry if this article has been posted before but I remember People Magazine did a story on it years ago. With a quick Google search I found it.
