Dave Trembley Fired...

How could the Orioles seriously expect to do much better? Not only are they in a ridiculously hard division but players like Brian Roberts are hurt. Yeah maybe things could have been a bit better, but not much...

One good thing to come out of it is that I know the new Third Base coach's Son.

    The ownership should fire themselves.

THIS is why it is ridiculous to have to play division teams 18 times each. How can these rookie pitchers/players develop properly having to face some of the best teams in baseball 72 times?? Baptism by fire doesn't work with everyone...

You know your team is bad when you play in the AL East and your team is full of NL washouts like Corey Patterson. I don't know what the O's team salary is, but you could look at their lineup before the season started and know immediately that they wouldn't be competitive. Take away Markakis and the Orioles become the Pittsburgh Pirates.

They have a higher payroll than both the Rays and Blue Jays...

When the team was competitive, they made enough revenue to have a higher payroll. Inept ownership had mired the team into a perennial loser. The owners should realize that and sell.

  • Teams a joke, but gotta try something, gave my tickets up 2 years ago, have not been back since and live 20 minutes away, badly need ownership change. Have gone to Bowie a few times for some AA ball, at least they make it fun with the entertainment. DC is only 45 minutes away, guess I need to go see that new guy I have been hearing a little about, of course you cant see him without buying tickets to other games I hear.
  • At least I am real close to the National this year.

Yeah, and a lot of that stadium dough is from Red Sox and Yankees fans. I would probably be a Nationals fan if I lived down there -- they seem to be improving, and at least it will be exciting to watch Strasburg and Bryce Harper.
