Nocerino18Nocerino18 Posts: 1,572 ✭✭✭
Just sent a civil war token out for grading. It came back as follows:

1863 F-8A / 317 a Army Navy Civil War Token NGC XF45 BN

I cannot find it listed at all anywhere. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    It's a Rarity-2 token.

The "F" stands for Fuld. Fuld numbers are the standard reference numbers for Civil War tokens.
Because so many dies were used with so many other dies, common usage is to give the obverse die number first, in this case "8A," followed by the reverse die number, in this case "317."
This is a relatively common die pairing.
