Rules of subbing under registry special

Is it an absolute requirement that all cards graded and received under the registry special be published to ones registry?

There are a lot of scenarios that could keep some subbed cards from being published into one's registry, will they audit and keep tabs..

From what I understand, you don't even need a registry set up for a certain set - it's just basically another kind of special. They don't go look to make sure you have a registered set, for example.

If the cards aren't registered to your set within 30 days they activiate the exploding dye pack.
