Ebay sellers, question for you

If a buyer doesn't pay, and you put in an unpaid buyer notice to ebay after 4 or 7 days, does the buyer usually pay or do they usually still not pay? And in some cases, do the buyers ever buy the cards and put a neg feedback, because you reported them as an un-paying buyer? What is your experience in handling these cases?
Thanks for your help everyone.

I usually wait until after 7 days have passed and send another invoice and ask nicely when they are planning on paying. Then after 14 days I will file a claim if I still have not heard from the buyer. About 50% of the time they will pay after the NPB is filed, the other 50% of the time I'm out of luck. Never had a negative over that issue, though the chances increase if you do it less than a week after the auction has ended.
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

Most NPB-filings result in fast payments.

Some NPBs leave NEGs after they have paid.

Just had it happen. I invoiced twice within 7 days. On the 7th day I filed it. This gives the buyer 4 days to pay or they get a strike. Guess what, he paid on the 4th day! And he left positive feedback.
  • In my exeperience about 85-90% of all the people I have opened a npb case for never pay. I have never had someone pay after opening a npb case and then had them leave me negative feedback. This could be in part because I send a payment reminder 7 days after the close of the auction. Then if no payment is received I send a 2-day warning 12 days after auction ends and then file a npb after 14 days if still no payment.

I know every seller likes to get paid and move on, but a little extra patience goes a long way in these scenarios.

On the 8th day I send a request to cancel the transaction and I'd say 95% of the time they usually pay right away.
