eBay caps invoices at 40 items? No more Paypal autofill option either?

You guys will love this.
I recently sold a lot of cards to one buyer on eBay. I sent him a combined invoice, which normally pulls all of the items purchased by one buyer in. I adjusted the S&H for his invoice, and sent it out. After doing so, I continued to send out other invoices and found that he still had some items that didn't get pulled in (they were all purchased within the same 24 hr time frame). I tried to add them to the invoice, but couldn't. I tried uncombining and then recombining the items, but it would still get capped at 40 items. Figuring it was some kind of eBay "enhancement" (har har), I figured I'd use the old eBay link in Paypal to send the combined invoice for all of the items. After checking around there for about 15 minutes and not finding the link that used to appear on page 1, I started checking the eBay and Paypal support boards. No luck there either. Reaching the point were I was ready to pull my hair out, I used the eBay Live Chat link (it's back available BTW), and after another 12 minutes on hold and 10 minutes talking to the rep, it was confirmed to me that
1). you can only send 40 items per invoice
2). the direct invoice link from Paypal has been removed.
You can still send invoices via Paypal, but you have to manually create them, even for eBay items.
I've often agreed with that signature line about eBay not being happy until their customers were unhappy, but this is taking it a bit too far. Guess they want that extra fee however they can get it...

It wasn't too difficult to do, just annoying that it had to be done that way, and could be potentially confusing to a less savy buyer.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
