does anyone own this card....I would like to see a scan of the back....I have seen a scan of the front but I can't find this card...


1998 Donruss Signature Series Preview Jason Kendall

Obviously, I would like to buy/trade for one..

It seems to be one of those cards that back-doored/slipped out .....

anyone have any info on this one.....

    According to the Standard Catalog of BB Cards, the Kendall was not produced, however, it does mention that some cards were released later ("back-doored") due to the fact that the players did not return the cards in time. It doesn't mention the Kendall as being one of them, but I have seen the card, as well, and know that it is out there...I just don't have one that I can scan for ya.

  • I can't help you with scans but I do think that Kendall was one of the players that did not sign. I thought I read a rumor at one point that he didn't even return the cards and that he was the one releasing unsigned examples on to the market. Kind of like Otis Nixon's 1996 Leaf Signature autographs, but without the unpaid public storage issue. image
