Joe Namath Pro Set 1990-1991 Super Bowl Silver Anniversary Error

I have looked for this on the internet and can not find anything about it. I found in the 1990-1991 160 Card Pro Set Super Bowl Silver Anniversary Commemorative Card box the #34 card of Joe Namath had the info for card #57 Winston Hill including stats and picture printed on the back. Is this card worth me doing anything with? Thank you in advance and sorry if this is in the wrong section.

  • It's called a "wrong back" and they are very common in some sets. I can't say I have seen many from the 1990 Super Bowl Set, but several from the base 1990 Pro Set issue are well-known.

  • Thanks jacksoncoupage , I have tried Google and the ones I get results back for say nothing about the back being different for this card. I guess I need to find out if it was corrected or not. Maybe someone else can throw in their 2 cents.

    Thank you.

I'm not sure what else you are looking for.

The card was erroneously printed with another player's card back. This is a common occurrence in 1990 Pro Set. The Namath card most definitely comes in a common, "corrected" variety. If you are trying to establish a value for it, list it on ebay. I'd figure it's worth anywhere between $2 at the lowest to $10-15 at the highest. However, you might get a few serious Namath fans that have never seen it, engaging in a bidding war over it. No way of knowing until you list.
