Determining Trimmed Cards

What's the best way to determine trimmed cards? Measuring the card as a whole? Measuring the borders? I have a really tough time doing this with a card in hand, and even more impossible time doing this through e-bay.

For example, do you think this is trimmed? How did you determine that?

I don't think it is trimmed just miscut.

Do not pay for trimmed cards until shipping has been totalled.

It says in the sellers description that the left side of the card is trimmed.
