Saw a bad HBP today

I was at the Potomac Nationals and Salem Red Sox game (Carolina League). Brian Peacokc of the Nationals took a fastball right to the helmet. I never seen someone go straight down and not even move. He was down at least a half hour before the paramedics took him off the field. He was flown out on a helicopter. The Red Sox pitcher and catcher seemed very shaken. My prayers are with Brian.

(I had to invert the last two letters of his last name because the editor said it is a forbidden word and would not let me post it correctly.)

It is brutal to see any athlete go down like that. Just reminds you how hard baseball is to play. That little white ball would be a lot easier to hit if there wasn't a chance that it could do that type of damage to you. Hopefully he will be OK, and neither the batter or pitcher have any lingering effects from this.
The best pitch to start a hitter off with is always strike one.
