1948-P Franklin DDR-005

1948-P
CONECA lists a DDR-005 with a Light spread on E PLURIBUS UNUM and DOTS.

Would you agree this is it? Do these bell lines pass for FBL ?

Thanks for looking.

franklnluver would have to verify the DDR , but it looks like it to me .

and thats FBL by PCGS's standards
  • The different reverses are quite difficult to tell apart and you often need the coin in-hand to tell which one it is. Yes on the FBL.

Since many of these '48 varieties are so similar they are very difficult to distinguish. I've seen a few '48 DDRs certified by PCGS as FS-801 that turned out to be one of the other listings.

The only ones I have for this date are DDR-003, 004, and 007. Do you see any die markers anywhere? die scratches? cracks? polish?

i posted the pics at CONECA forum.James Wiles says: Yes it;s a DDR.

looking through the CONECA listings (no pics),there is only 1 DDR that involves only "E PLURIBIS UNUM" and the 2 dots above it and that is DDR-005.

other DDR versions all involve other doubling of other letters or the bell clapper.

I am sending it to Mr. Wiles to verify the die.

That one doesn't seem to match the one in the CPG, but it is a DDR.

my pics are "dullish" but the coin is very lusterous.
