1996 Pinnacle Football Variations

In 1996 Pinnacle football, not referring to the Trophy and Artist Proofs, there were three different types of base cards. A glossy, a non-glossy and a premium (silver foil). Question...are there different versions of the Trophy and Artist Proofs available? I have been unable to find any.

Clear Skies,

According to the Standard Catalog of Football Cards, the Silver Foil version you are referring to was available via retail locations. The packs were called "All-Foil" packs and the only inserts in these packs were the "Black and Blue" inserts. Also, there was a "Premium Stock" version availble thru Hobby Only outlets and came in 25-card packs and had an MSRP of $6.99. These were printed on heavier 24-point stock and had a glossy finish, which may be what you are referring to. All inserts were available in these packs with an additional chase card of "Die-Cut Jerseys" as well as a Premium Stock Artist Proof that was printed on the heavier stock. As with a lot of the late 90's Pinnacle products, the variations and availablity are confusing. Not sure where to find these packs now, but best of luck to you. Hope this helps.
