New Habsburg Taler Lot

I was able to secure these to my Habsburg Taler set. Talers in AU-UNC condition are hard to find, with some of these are tougher to find in any grade. I was able to upgrade a couple of pieces I already own.

As one can see, the technology available in the mid 17th century was quite advanced relative to other parts of the world (perhap less on the Hungary/Kremnitz side). Design work done on a planchet is quite impressive, truly capturing the Renaissance era.

The 1639 is very nice, but I quite like the design on the Olmutz piece also.

The 1657 and 1621 are probably the scarcer pieces. The others are common.

Well done Zohar. You keep outdoing yourself! I think they are all wonderful pieces, but I think the 1611 and the Olmutz pieces are outstanding.

Have you cornered the austrian taler market yet? I'm starting to sweat your entry into the german taler arena.
