In my opinion, this america the beautiful series will start off slow and will gradually work its way up to about half of the collectors that the statehood program saw. This will still be a huge number and the main reason I think this national park program will be a huge success is because each state will be represented and when it comes time for a quarter release in collector joe's state he will be after that quarter and likely want the rest. The difference between hot springs quarters and the territorials is the territorials wrapped up the series, whereas the hot springs opened the series. Many think think or thought the national parks would be weak like the territorials, however instead of collectors wrapping things up with the statehoods/teritorials they are just beginning the national parks which is why comparing the territorials to the national parks is like comparing apples to oranges.


Think about this, suppose you started collecting the state quarters when the 2nd state quarter came out and you decided to go back and fill your collection with a delaware roll which was first in the series Well you are in luck 401 million denver delawares were minted, so plenty out there. Now suppose when the 2nd national park quarter comes out next week thousands of wyoming collectors and national collectors who hear about the yellowstone quarter decide they want to start collecting the series, so they decide to go back and get the hot springs quarter or rolls to fill their collection. Well this time there isn't no 401 million denvers out there for the first in the series like there was for delaware in the statehood series, but instead you only have 29 million hot springs denver's out there. Huge difference and this puts it into perspective on just how hot these hot springs quarters could get. In my mind, the Mint purposely did ths low mintage to create hype for the series. Hot springs denvers which represents first in the series only has about 7% of the mintage of delawares which was first in the series. Bottom line is, the hot springs rolls will go way up in value if the national park program can replicate half the success of the statehood program.

Also, the US Mint has indicated that they have set aside enough inventory so that the Hot Springs bags and rolls should remain available for a full year after the release date............................. Now the question is how is that right? instead of releasing these coins to the banks there going to hang on to enough to keep selling them AT A PREMIUM ? For a Full Year ? No wonder why there not at the bank enough of us bought them from the mint and they now realize they can make More money by selling them on the site instead of shipping them out Where does it end if they can do this, than what is the point of buying these from them, i guess we as collectors messed up by ordering them from the mint in the first place

Doesn't the mint stop sales on the previous issue when the new issue is officially released? IOW, these won't be available, from the mint, all year right?

The America the Beautiful Quarters bags and rolls are intended to remain available for one year after the start of sales. Upon a request for clarification, the US Mint explained that the product will be available for one year, or until inventory is depleted, which ever comes first. The US Mint will monitor inventory levels and potentially decide to produce more or to let the inventory deplete and take the product off sale, depending on the timing. (nOW it sounds like if they deplete the inventory they have a choice to make more ? I called mint yesterday and asked when i can expect this quarters to hit my bank and was told not all banks will get these and i might be better off ordering them from the mint, i suggested they offer them for face value and shipping and was basically told that isn't going to happen.....................................................
