1832 capped Bust Dime -- Is this a DDO of some sort?
Per the image below, this Capped Bust Dime appears to have a doubled profile. However, I can't find any information as to whether or not this is a variety. I this just "machine doubling" or something?

<< <i>can you get a close up picture of the doubling? Most likely it is machine doubling. >>
Look at Miss Liberty's nose.
"Shelf Doubling", eh? Never heard of it -- but I don't know jack about these.
<< <i>BTW I don't even think in hand it is shelf doubling, the photo makes one assume it, but to me it is just the angle of the edge of the profile and how th ephoto was taken that makes the viewer believe they are seeing shelf doubling. Do you have the coin in your possession? Many of my Bust Dimes appear this way in photos, but in hand there is zero shelf doubling, and that is what I think you are seeing here. If I saw this photo I wouldn't think it to be anything out of the ordinary. >>
Yeah, I'll take a look at it later. I actually don't recall noticing any doubling in hand, but I don't tyically look too closely at these tiny coins.
