first small cherry pick a 1957 type b quarter

well after reading all the great information about the b type quarters decided to try and put a set together. Bought this coin at auction and its not listed as a B but the pictures tell the story. http://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDetail.asp?ahid=2417&aid=28608&lid=7926276#topoflot
wonder what its going to cost to resubmit?

<< <i>Nice pick! I am also just getting into these. I confess, though, that I can't tell any difference on the "leaf covering the arrow points" from the regular die strikes. Even the wing tips don't look less pointed to me on the regular strikes. Anyone have any insights? >>
thks i ran across this wonderful thread right here sorry still learning how to do linky thing i now have the 1957, also1959 and 1963 i got from a member here and once you see one you will see the difference now the c on the 64d is going to be alitle bit harder, going to try and put a ms65 set together.http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=751473&STARTPAGE=1

"Leaf covering the arrow points" is not a term I woud use. The leaf jutting above the arrowpoints is a surefire PUP and unique to type B.
The arrow points touching the leaf without a gap is also unique to the type B although it will be partially filled in on a type M (which is clad only). Now look at your actual coins and let us know if you can see it now.
Good point on the wing tips. I believe that difference exists, but it is rather minor. I bet you we could make a list of 50 differences on type B's.
<< <i>That is one beautiful illustration of a type B. I think the toning emphasizes the sharpness of the artwork. >>
i really like the colors and as you can see the seperation between the e and s and the leaves are so vivid. I think its a fun series to collect and should be easy to get some of these. still have 30 rolls to go thru from mom and dad after 35 rolls i did find one 57 but in au. also think some of the fun is trying to spot ones that are in the old pcgs holders and others that are not attributed to the b yet. still learning
