If I'm getting a neutral rating, I'm glad it's for packing "too carefully"

I think that would be for 'impossible to get open without damaging item'

and in that case a $800 poster. so tape involve actually on item - or edges so close to corners, sissors damage item trying to open package

Many years ago, I had purchased a few reproduction mats for daguerreotype images (before I learned how to make them myself). These were stamped from .002 copper foil, and then gold plated.

The seller wrapped them very carefully in saran wrap.

Needless to say, it proved impossible to undo the saran wrap without totally destroying the foil mats.

so...you CAN overdo it under certain circumstances.

I've gotten a few packages where the seller must have used at least two rolls of duct tape. It took a real effort to get those packages open.image
