Purchased this coin over 6 years ago and was a little up-set at first in hand ( as the sellers photos did not show what my photos show ) but that faded and I've enjoyed it ever since...

What say You, Should this Coin be in Plastic...?

the photo look like a 63-4 imo.
it it were mine,i dont know if i would have it slabbed or not.
maybe not since `81 Ss are fairly to find easy in higher grades.

the color looks NT. Don't know what the blob is or if you could even get it off. Maybe try picking at it with a toothpick to see if you can loosen some it. Then put the debris in some acetone to see if it will dissolve.

Have you tried to have the "crud" professionally removed. I would imagine NCS would work wonders. I think it's nice looking.

It's all ready in plastic @ MS66, that's the point...

I'm sure NCS could make it go away, I'm just surprised it's there in the first place...
