FS 1955 Topps # 207, Bill Consolo, PSA 8 NQ

For those of you collecting high-grade 1955 Topps cards, here is your opportunity to pick up a truly hard to find card. The POP on the Consolo in PSA 8 is 29, at least 14 of those are in the upper echelon sets in the Registry. Nobody is selling their cards from Registry sets, thus the TRUE POP of this card is 15 or less. VCP records show that no Consolo PSA 8 has been up since June of 2008, close to 2 years .

To the chase...the card is $975 insured delivery. If interested pls PM me.

Thanks,
Al

You are right this is truly a tough card in that grade. I bought a Consolo card raw that I like the centering and I was lucky to pull a PSA 7. Good luck whatever you decide to do with the card.

I think I bought my Consolo for $140 in a PSA 7 and I never saw it come up for auction. Best of luck.

Have you tried eBay? Seems like these commons are quickly losing their luster IMO.

    1960Topps...

No, I haven't put the card up on Ebay yet, although at some point I may do so. I'm in no rush to sell, however, I happen to have two Consolo 8s, and thought I'd give somebody a shot a filling a tough hole if they might be searching for an 8. I don't need the money, nor am I having a fire sale, merely offering a hard to find card available to a 55 T or Red Sox collector.

I have been collecting 55Topps for a good while, I assure you, this common has lost no luster whatsoever.

I do agree with you Al about the Consolo card, a card that has not lost its luster as a valued card. I do agree that some of the commons have come down in price but generally the high number cards are still in demand and especially in the higher grades.

Yep...the Consolo and the Freese are extremely tough commons that will always carry a premium.
