Wildly toned 1885 Morgan...AT??

RunnersDadRunnersDad Posts: 1,080 ✭✭✭
I picked this up for it's wild colors, and the fact that the obverse has a bit of a textile toned look to it. But given the extreme nature of the toning I am almost certain that this is Artificial toning. Your thoughts on this Morgan?

Note: I have adjusted the color saturation due to my pictures being dark, but this is actually very true to color when looking at it in hand.

Definitely, 100% absolutely, guaranteed, without a doubt, AT. Seriously, run, don't walk from this type of toning.

From the auction pics I thought there was a chance it was textile toning, but in hand it certainly was not. The seller has a ridiculous mix of coins from wildly AT to dipped, to nice crescent toning. Very odd.

@ Crazyhounddog...I like them like that as well!
