Please comment on my #C1

Hi,

I bought this a little over 10 years ago on E-Bay.

I'm wondering what you guys think about the black spot on the stamp.

I'd also appreciate any other comments about grade, condition, centering, etc.

BTW, it's a pretty good scan of the stamp - it's not bright orange.

I'm always learning and it's hard to find places on the Internet for discussions on stamps.

So fire away. I'm part teflon!

The first airmail series has always been a favorite of mine. It appears that there is a hinge remnant on the reverse. Perhaps it came from a block that was broken up?

I think there are bargains to be had out there!

The black spot appears to be an inclusion. The guidelines at the right and bottom will negatively impact the grade. The centering is fine to very fine. If you were to send this in for a grade, it would probably grade out at 50 to 60.

    Great! Already great info!

I'll check the reverse - I'll scan it up here when I get access tomorrow.

So "guidelines" showing up are not a good thing?
