1967 Signed Pete Rose baseball value

I bought a Rose ball a few years ago that had a four other signatures on it and only now figured out two of the other. One being Joe Nuxhall and the other Jack Baldchum. Jack only played for the Reds in 66/67 so that dates the ball to that era. The Rose signature grades probably around a 7-8, the vintage signature. I am going to eventually send it to psa along with some other balls. What do you guys think that this type of ball would be worth?

I am selling most of my baseball items only to raise some money to buy some of my Rose master cards. I seen that the Mantle ball with psa/dna sold for 470 dollars more than one without it.

while there is no shortage of Pete Rose signatures, there may be a tad more interest since it dates to the mid 1960's, but I don't think by much..I'd venture a guess of $75-$100..........

For about $300 or so you can have a baseball signed by him along with an inscription apologizing for betting on baseball.

Just to throw it out there......really the type of ball would be the best way to date the signatures, not who is on it.

I don't know if Joe Nuxhall and Jack Baldchum are still living (don't know who they are), but it is entirely possible that the ball could be from the 80's, or 90's and someone happened to get them all to sign it for whatever reason.

Not to be negative, just wanted to point out that it doesn't put a certain date on it - just thought I would put another perspective on the item.

    Do you have any pics?

This ball with five signatures will have very little value and there is no additional value created by sending it to PSA/DNA.

    Sorry
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

    I agree with Schmidt...

    PS.
The ball is really a Nuxhall ball with a Rose sig on it image

Nuxhall was so good he played for the Cincinnati Reds when he was 15 years old! image

Joe Nuxhall was and still is the youngest player to play in major league history, 15 years old playing for the Cincinnati Reds 1944.
He was also the Reds broadcaster for 37 years after he retired in mid 60's. (1967-2004)

Passed away a couple years ago.

  • Nuxie was good but to play MLB at age 15? I know he did, but you do know what was going on during that time? WAR! That is how he got is break. The Rose sig is a vintage type sig, not the type you see today by the millions. I will get some pics and post some time next week. Thanks guys...... Oh, it's still a Rose ball with everyone else on it.

  • I got my ball back along with the Mantle and Dimaggio but have sold those yankee balls. The Rose ball was dated by psa/dna 1966/67, signatures graded a 7 and the overall ball graded 4.5.
