EBay glitch- could use some advice

I attempted to pay for an item I won last night on the Bay at about 10 PM. when I clicked the "pay now" button that sends you to Paypal, I get this message:

"Sorry, you've hit a speed bump! To continue checkout, please try again."

I have tried to pay for this item 8-10X since this first happened, and I get the same message every time. I have never seen this particular error message before last night.

THINGS I HAVE TRIED:
*signing off EBay and signing back on again
*attempting to initiate payment starting with the link through the e-mail that you get when you win an item, rather than through the EBay console
*deleting my internet history

I will delete my cookies if I have to, but I would rather not do that. I can't delete the EBay cookie only on this computer; it's either delete them all or delete none of them.
I can sign on to my Paypal account as normal, so long as I am not trying to pay for an item through EBay.

Any advice on a fix? Thanks

Don't know about a fix, but try this workaround;
If you have the email that payment is sent to, you can log into paypal and click send payment. Then there is an option for eBay Item, it should then ask you for the item number which will import all the information into paypal.

The workaround was successful- thank you.

EBay still gives me the message "you need to pay for 1 item" on my home page, but the little blue dollar sign shows as paid on my 'items won' page........


If anyone knows how to fix the larger problem, please let me know.
