Has anyone put together a gold coin collection of just the large date and small date varieties as a

I was thumbing through the latest issue of NN last evening, and I took a look at their version of Coin Values magazine. As I was perusing the gold section, I made note of all of the large date and small date varieties in gold. For example, there are large date and small date versions of the -43-O quarter eagles. There are a few in the half eagle and eagle series.

I thought it would be a neat "short set" to have a collection of each of these varieties. Has anyone done this? Is there enough of a "set premium" for these varieties, or does no one care?
