Grade Opinions on this 1973 D Ike

I am giving consideration to submitting this 73D Ike dollar. I think it has MS66 potential, but wanted to hear some other opinions first.

I agree with Brian. No way a 66. 64 tops.

Too many marks especially on Ike's face. 64 and possibly 65. In my opinion no way higher.

I don't really see it as a 5, but I have not submitted IKEs in a number of years now. I really think the nasty scrape on the chin limits it to a 4.

The 1973-D has high expectations in 66- and this example, form the image falls short of those expectations. It is attractive-nice lustre, good looking fields and it would appear on the best day it is a 65.

Now, perhaps it looks better in hand...

Thanks for the opinions! That is why I asked. It does look a little better in hand, but if I am getting a little over MS64 as a consensus then it will stay in the dansco. Perhaps I should stick with Roosevelts!

1973 P&D Eisenhower Dollars come especially nice due to the fact that they weren't released into circulation, a fact which is taken into consideration when they're graded. they typically have very strong luster and cleaner fields but also fall victim to the easily seen unstruck planchet flaws this coin shows. on the flip side, 1971/1972 P&D Eisenhower Dollars were released into circulation only, so that is also considered when grading.

BTW, MS64 shot 65.
