Cert lookup tied to registry?

When you do the PCGS cer lookup and the coin info shows up, if the coin is tied to a collection will it tell you there or do you have to look in a serprate place to see if the coin is in a registry set?

No it will not tell if it is in a set. You find that out when you try adding it to one of your own sets.

BTW is does not have to be in a set for the cert. number to be protected just in the owners inventory.

OK, my question is based on looking up a cert# of a stolen coin of over a year ago. I guess theres no way to really do that from teh TPGs.

If a police report was filed with the cert# couldn't a law enforcement agaency follow-up with the TPG?
