Show us what you got out the Never Ending Giveaway box!

Round 1 is over, so let's see what everyone got out of it. As moderator I saw a good bit of interesting stuff change hands through the course of it but never got to see pics of most, and since we were keeping the contents a surprise, no one else knows all the great stuff that came of it. So let's show off image

Here are a few I pulled for myself:

Mexico 1 peso, 1902 Zacatecas FZ (It needed an acetone bath, but turned out nicely)
image

There are two slightly older 8 reales still in the box image

One I hadn't come across before.. had to go for it! A private token for British Guiana
image

A nice grey thaler from Prussia
image

And even though I always deny being a toner nut, I keep finding myself snatching cheap coins with pretty colors image
Cyprus, 500 mils, 1975 (shot through angled glass, so slightly exaggerated, but the colors are all there and vibrant!)
image

These two were in the junk box and have me stumped...

A common Mexican 5 peso - with "925" stamped under the mintmark? guess someone was testing their jeweler's punch image
image

And some kinda counterstamp on the condor's leg on this one from Chile, no clue what it is.. any ideas?
image

Don't worry, there's plenty more cool stuff left in there for next round imageimageimage
(the stats I gave in the other thread were after I made my picks, though I'm not done adding)

Thanks to all who participated! I hope you all had as much fun with this as I did!

Here are the notable coins I kept from the Give-a-way. Sorry for the lousy pics, my monitor is shot and super dark so I have no idea how they really look other than on the little screen on my camera... And thanks everyone who participated! PM me if I have one of your coins so I can make a note of it...

1764-F Prussian Thaler... Heavily worn, but a one year type and a new addition for me! image
    image

This fits right into my Mexico collection... KM 365 1859 1/4 real (Sonora)

    image

I always wanted a Leopold! A nice looking 15 Kreuzer, KM 175, thankyou whoever put it in!

    image

This one was from Musky1011... KM 218 Hannover 6 Pfennige, removed mount on top but still another new type for my German States collection. image

Here is one I have no idea WHY I decided to keep! It does not fit into ANYTHING I collect, I just fell in love with the reverse, the obverse is a little baggy but I just had to have it 'cause it's purdy... image

EDITED once again: Again I aplogize for the photos, I just got a new monitor and wow are my pics washed out looking. image

Glad you got a couple of goodies for yourself Eric, I knew the peso needed a bath but passed it along as is, now if you could just fix the dipping the other fellows went through all would be well in the world...

    Hi Jason,

The Darkside Never Ending Giveaway is sort of a chain swap... I loaded up a box of goodies and passed it on, the next person got to pull whatever coins he liked from it so long as they're replaced by an equal value of coins, and then on it goes again. Here's the thread where we started it. We ask participants to be vetted because the last box we tried this with "disappeared", but it's easy to get in image

We'll be starting up a new round soon here. I've been meaning to start a thread to hash out new terms going forward, but have been terribly busy! Anyhow, if you'd like to get in on this, check out that other thread (though things are likely to change a bit) and please do drop me a line! image
