Does this deserve a 5.5 grade? (Please read what I say below the pic)

image

At first look, it's a 7 because of the bottom left corner, but does that tiny ding(yes that white on the top edge is a ding, not fraying) bring a solid 7 all the way down to a 5.5?
Thanks for your help everyone.

Could be a surface wrinkle or crease you are not seeing.

I'm wondering how much does a tiny ding on the top edge bring down the grade?

Hold the card at different angles underneath a table lamp and you may see a tiny wrinkle

That has real nice eye appeal, the focus is outstanding.

If card has no surface problems at all , I would review with psa again or send a review with Bgs. That is a nice card Imo

Looks like something in the blue by the net, so type of bump.... Could be the scan though...

You note that there is a ding in the top... Anycard I sent in which has a ding in the middle of the borders drop to 5 automatically....

If all that's wrong with it is a couple of the minor flaws that were mentioned then I believe the grade is harsh...

Very nice looking card by the way...image

The answer is yes, maybe not all the time but in your specific case (this time) yes.

If you cracked that same card 10 times you just very may well get 5 different grades.

Remember, this is just that graders opinion on that specific day.

IMO it should have been a 6.

    Good for you.

While the card may look nice, Unfortunately nobody can accurately assess a cards condition based on a scan.
Sad to say but you will have to play the "Crack/resub" game if you feel the card is that undergraded.

Looks like a solid 8 to me.

It must have a ding or wrinkle we can't see in the scan.

From the scan, and assuming no surface wrinkles or creases, that card has outstanding eye appeal and to me would fit nicely in an 8 holder. I could even see an 8.5 (just depends on the lower corners; hard to really tell exactly as to the bottom corners in the scan). Based on my experience, cards like this that had surface wrinkles received a 5 grade not a 5.5 (though I admit that was before half grading). I have to side with everyone else that the only explanation would be a surface wrinkle.

This thread is BS, as is your Magic/Bird thread.
Unless you have a good reason why you're not showing the flips in the scans?
