Crypto-Thanks for the comments. Prooflike gold allows collectors to own and enjoy these beautiful coins with reflective fields at a fraction of the cost of proof examples. Generally PL $20’s look better in hand than in images because the abrasions on the mirrored surfaces are exaggerated. Less than 1% of double eagles are truly prooflike. The most “common” prooflike dates are 1904, 1904-S, and 1898-S. Here is another example.
