Ever place a real low ball bid on a TT coin . . .

never expecting to win it and do win it? So many coins on TeleTrade don't sell because the 'reserve' is so high. Well I placed a real low bid, $6., on a Canadian 1900 50c PCGS VG8 never thinking the bid would hold. Well, it did. In total it cost me $19, $6 for the coin and $13 for fees and shipping. What do you think?

    A bunch of PCGS Newfoundland 50c coins also sold for $6. I wish I had bid on them.

    About a month ago I bought a couple of gold coins at something like 50% of spot, they were foreign, and apparently did not have reserves, or the reserves were ridiculously low. No complaints though - anytime I can get gold for much less than spot, makes my day.

    I once saw a US quarter variety on TT going for less than melt. I raised the bid one notch and got it. After fees, I probably should not have bothered.
