US MINT HOT SPRINGS ROLLS

Anyone get theirs yet? I picked up a bunch of boxes and the Philly rolls have a dull luster and the denvers have a nice shinny luster. I'm not sure if there was a different metal composition used or what. Anyone else notice this?

I hate to admit it, but I was kinda thinking the same thing when I saw the title.

For the record I haven't seen any Hot Springs quarters in circulation yet.

You "picked up a bunch of boxes".............. does this mean they are sending out full rolls again of the state quarters vs mixed-in with other dates? Or did you have to order these special at a premium?

    More info would be appreciated!

    Thx!

all i have to say is

    1st one in a series.

    you take it from there.
  • I would say 1st in the series is a critical statement because if the series takes off when collectors and the every day joe sees the good stuff like yellowstone and the grand canyon then they will be scrambling for the first in the series. The Mint needs to stop Mint roll sets at a small number like around 30,000 to jump start this series. I think we will see hometown pride as the series progresses and when a state has a park released from their state there will be plenty of local publicity and that alone should bring in many new collectors who will then be looking for prior national parks.

Well....................I think....................that Congress and the US Mint are slowly killing the golden goose and before ya know it, new, crappy, poorly designed, inconsequential issues will be occuring every 60 days or so until nobody really cares anymore.

Say wait....................they're already doing that! image
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
