The name is LEE!
...that's gone a long way towards making the image much nicer!
However, the white balance does look on the 'coppery' side for a coin that supposed to look like fake gold.
Very nice!

It may have actually been 3 lights mixed 2 OTT's and 1 Halogen which made it look sickly green.
Do to the error the bare copper core is exposed from the manganese and this SAC is toned.
My white balance was correct, but I did place a 27.5mm extension tube between the body and lens for this shot...
Not sure if the white balance needed to be re-adjusted for this change

The shot I took today.
Looks nice. No need to readjust white balance because of PK13 tube. Get a grey card and put it somewhere in the shot, either under a see-thru slab or in the margin of the photo, and adjust your white balance to it.

Thanks messydesk... Yes there's some haze on both sides of the holder that I neglected to polish as I was just playing around
I have a grey/white card that I'll use under the slabs, as I just noticed today that the white foam I've been using for the last couple years is rippling from the heat of the PAR30's.
<< <i>nice pics. Watch out for coin tilt - the top is sharper than the bottom on the rev image. >>
Thanks mgoodm3!
Again I think it's the foam that I was using underneath as it's now getting a bit wavy from the heat of the halogens.
I noticed it looking at the right side of this image I took earlier as the foam is no longer a usable flat underlay.
Color balance tweak + retouch. Couldn't do too much with the flare around 4 o'clock though.
