I don't know a lot about that set, but IMO it was a nice buy. Don't think you can go wrong with that price.
Enjoy the cards!!!!!!!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I looked at the enlarged scans of the pictured HOFers, and they all look decent. I think you did well

'60 card guy, I almost competed to bid for that set myself, I received extra scans of other cards from the seller and they looked solid.
You did ok, the last mid grade '52 set sold through an auction house last year for $3500.
There is one on REA currently that might reach that price point.
Beautiful set, I will have one to call my own hopefully soon.

Most of the fun in set collecting is the building part, and you skipped this.
Otherwise at $12 a card and 10% HOFers, its not a bad price, especially compared to many common modern 1960's Topps sets that NOW often sell for more.
Are you planning on breaking it up to flip (ie. bought it for an investment) ?
I can remember when you could buy a VG T206 set minus big 4 for $3-4K, and break and flip to double your $$.
Buying sets in bulk and breaking them up is a good way to make a little cash
I understand why people don't like 54 or 55 Bowmans, but 48-53 Bowmans are outstanding IMO.
Nice purchase.
Buying Vintage, all sports.
Buying Woody Hayes, Les Horvath, Vic Janowicz, and Jesse Owens autographed items

I would take any of the Bowman sets from 48-55. As a matter of fact I have always wanted to do a 55 Bowman set but just have not had the money to even try and attempt that. I think all of the Bowman sets from back then are quality sets and would be proud to own any one of them!

Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed!!
- I would encourage all collectors to post a video of their collection - I have found it to be a very rewarding way to share my sports cards!!
I think you got a good deal.
