If I walk into four strange bars, and one has baseball players sitting at the bar, one has basketball players, one has football players, and one has hockey players, I sure as hell know which one I am high-tailing it out of.
<< <i>Those wuss football players that play with broken bones! >>
Those wuss hockey players that play with broken bones, 80+ regular season games, 7 game playoff series, stop clock, while on skates getting whacked with lumbar, hit with bodies coming at full speed, thrown into boards, and hit with frozen pucks like bricks at speeds up to 100 mph.
I am not taking anything away from hockey players. I am a diehard Boston bruins fan, but to say that hockey players are much much tougher than football players is wrong. Both games are physically demanding and most of the players play through crazy pain.
The difference would be the 82 game (3-4 games a week) schedule vs. the 16 game, once a week schedule. Football players are tough and all, but they aren't taking hits by guys moving 30+ mph, and 100+ mph frozen biscuits to their limbs and faces.

I think having a high tolerance for pain makes you pretty tough....
