Most of those 1929-S SLQ Broadstrikes with the original surface's, like this one, came from the Bolt Collection - it came on the market in 1974

FredWeinberg, Thanks for the provenance info on this error as I don't recall seeing any SLQ's in your Numismatics Ltd. catalog which handled the Bolt Collection.
Do you recall if this golden toned Off Center 29-S is also ex Bolt as both came from the same collection

Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free
