  • Its a very large hoard they submitted and called the "Lakeside" hoard. Several thousand coins.

Edited to add: There is more info about it here

a huge hoard collection that was raw that teletrade bought. Teletrade then went and had every coin certified and auctioned them off.

there was a mislabled 1909-s vdb in the lot that it seems as if almost everyone missed it as it went for peanuts
may the fonz be with you...always...

Looks like the hoard included rolls and rolls of 32-S and 32-d quarters; they'll be auctioning those off for months, it would appear.

Actually, letting it go thru mislabeled could have been a brilliant

psychological move. Now, everyone is going to look thru their auctions

looking for another mislabeled deal. Sounds like something B.Max Mehl

    would have loved to do.
There once was a place called
    Camelotimage
  • There were several S-VDB's in (P)-VDB holders, but only one made it through before the rest were yanked. I was trying to bid on it in the last 2 minutes, entered a bid that someone else already had (the winning bid by the way), and had a internet problem keep me from submitting a bid in the last minute. That is the last one I needed to complete the set I inherited from my grandfather, but I could never afford one at full market value. I might switch ISP's over this image
