well that still doesnt beat my Marino Inscription (yes both a photo and auto) that came back as John Elway. Or a Favre auto'd card that came back as Rothlisberger.

    Marino

cleary QC is not one of the top priorities for psa.

i had to send back a card that i had spent a few weeks on making sure would come out labeled correctly before i even sent it in. we had an agreed upon cert already but the guy that had it all lined up wasnt there the day the card was done and sent out right away. but he did get it corrected for me. good thing i had some extra time before the registry deadline.

It's a new thing at PSA, you have to crack the code to get the year. Luckily, this one's pretty easy
You merely take the 2489 and subtract the grade (7) multiplied by his uniform # (12) times the # of Super Bowls he won (4). To this #, you add his regular season losses (51) plus his 1975 TD passes (18). That'll give you 1977.
I'm actually surprised you didn't figure this out on your own.

That's the right date, because its Mexican, so its on the Mayan calendar. Those PSA peeps are on the ball.
Kiss me once, shame on you.

So, I guess cards won't look much different 500 years from now.

  • Yes, this error puts yours to shame! The new #1 PSA flip error!

How do you mess up a year? (and that bad?)

Now that's really weird that there's two of them.

I noticed the serial numbers are very similar, perhaps 30011882 is mislabeled the same way??
  • jeffcbayjeffcbay Posts: 8,951 ✭✭✭✭
Checking on the certs, numbers 30011880 through 30011883 are all the same Terry Bradshaw card. It actually lists the correct year on the cert verification. Pretty cool!
