Greysheet variety questions?

Why doesn't the greysheet expand on some of the key varities of some of the modern series (Jefferson's 1939 ddr, 1942-d/horz d, 1949-s/d, etc.) like the red book does? Maybe if dealers had something to go by, it would help on some of these later varities that are very popular with collectors and they could get more business. Your thoughts on this issue please!

Strange that they list the 1950 D/S and S/D quarters but not the ones you mention. But the downside of listing more varieties would be making many dealers, most of whom look at little else other than the greysheet aware of this stuff. I'd just as soon keep 'em in the dark.

I agree there's more demand for variety pricing information, but I doubt there's enough to justify the labor, printing and mailing of such a publication.
    When in doubt, don't.
