Nice coin, are you thinking of selling? I have a nice pcgs purple toned peace dollar it would look good sitting by. >>
I am liquidating mostly everything but the toned peace and walker sets are gonna stay put. Theres a couple more Peace dollars I need to photo. You should post your pruple toner though.
what kind of light are you using ? brass lamp? seems to be reflecting off the slab
also, why don't you get some PlastX and buff out the slab >>
The yellow light refelcting is the riim light. I am using one of those little lamps they sell at the coin shops + sunlight. Forgot the name, The ceiling light refelcting the slab really did add much light but helped my non-macro lens to focus better. The gold streak down Liberty's hair is not from that light. All in all the combination is not very pro but the colors are dead on with the coin in hand. When the ship is righted I am investing in some photo equip and a microscope. (and some slab biffering kits.
Neither. Maybe worth one of those candy bars as a treat for yourself.

I am glad you mentioned this book. I dug it out and flipped thru it a bit. What a great book! I had originally dismissed it because the similar looking Guide to Walking Liberty Halves or whatever its called was such a bundle of turds that I assumed this would be the same thing. But this book is crammed with great info. Thanks for bringing it up.
Some kool Peace dollars you got there... I got a 22' d (PCGS MS63) that is very similar to yours, but is toned on both sides with some obverse die cracks that I picked up from a member on the BST. I'll try to post a pic later today.

<< <i>Now there's a Peace $1 that I would love to own, and I don't generally care much for Peace dollars. That is a very attractive coin! >>
Thanks. In an OGH to match her hue to boot.
Very nice coin, I was only joking with half of what I just said.
<< <i>Nice! The sea-green color is great. Is it from the first hubs or the second? >>
Not sure. I stink at Vam ID. What are the markers to look for?
<< <i>One the reverse, the 1st hub has the olive branch detatched from the eagle, and the 2nd hub has it attached. >>
Detached. Which one is worth 50 grand.
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
