Currency Guy with a Coin Question

I only collect currency but have a chance to buy an original roll of 1944 S Washington quarters. Any thoughts on the value?

Thanks for the help

Do they look heavily circulated or closer to uncirculated? Need an estimate grade of these coins.

    Edited to add:

It is a relatively common date and the roll is at least worth silver melt. More if they are nice.

Greysheet bid/ask is $725/$800 so this works out to about $20 per coin. This price assumes that each coin is either gem or near gem in quality.

According to CoinFlation the current silver melt value is $3.1901 per quarter. But this is assuming they are all culls, again, need an estimation of the condition of these Quarters.

So it can range from $150 to $800 a roll

  • They are GEM. All white color.

Then I would go with TomB's estimation.

by gem here, we refer to being MS65
if they are merely uncirculated, thats a big difference in price

all white may mean cleaned or dipped
    (not good)

do you have a photo to show here?
