1921 Peace Dollar VAM? Error? Opinions and wild guesses sought.

The reverse has an obvious lump of metal that I first thought was an internal cud or die chip.
After buying it (taking a big chance at $98) and looking closer, I see several laminations.
One lamination on the wingtip, one on the right leg, and a small one on the first A in America.
And after looking at the raised metal closer, it doesn't look like a die chip to me.
I do not think it is added metal.
Yes, there is a bit of damage on the obverse under the "IN" and a rim cut.
Whatch think?

This would be a great post for VAMworld, you would get lots of responses.

<< <i>The area around the blob looks odd, especially to the left of it. Are you sure that blob was originally on the coin?

I wondered if the metal was there at striking and it's a strikethrough, but I don't think it looks right for that. The area around it appears depressed a little, like the metal is in a bowl or scoop.
If it wasn't mine, I'd say it could be PMD in form of an added blob, but it's mine so it can't be that
Also, the laminations are unusual in that there are many on different areas of the coin. I think that may more than a coincidence.

Hmmm...Idk. I don't think it's normal to have a depressed area around a blob like that. Without seeing the coin in hand, I just don't know what it is for sure.

<< <i>Broken lamination, perhaps. If the coin already has two such planchet defects, a third is not implausible. >>
Here's the laminations that I can find, so thats possible
As for the depressed area, maybe the eagle was sad at being smacked by Miss Liberty?
