SCAMMER ALERT - High profile cards (Mantle, Bradshaw, Jeter, etc)

I don't normally post this sort of stuff, but this dipstick has crossed the line posting quite a few very high profile cards that I know for a fact he does not own!!!

Beware!!! You don't mess with Karma...

Here's the message that I sent to the seller . . .

"I certainly hope you don't end up taking money from the wrong people... I've already notified the authorities in your county of your potential fraud as one of the cards you are auctioning is MINE and is in hand despite your theft of the scan. I'm also quite certain that the Bradshaw resides on the West Coast and not in Fulton County, Georgia."

Comments

  • Which card is yours? I want to throw a crazy bid on it since I know it will not actually be available just to get the guy worked up.

Don't worry, the auctions won't be up much longer...

The only one he might actually have in his possession is the Jeter, b/c he just sold an Aaron RC the same way (with pic of him holding it) and it got pos FB from the buyer.
But the other auctions all use scans not pics (why?) and were all made with different scanners, so that should be a giveaway.
The Mantle is up to $9K, and I am always amazed at the # of stupid buyers willing to throw away thousands without doing simple diligence.
This seller is trying for a big, quick score.
  • I helped push the Mantle higher, since I know he is a fraud. Asked for scan of backside but have been ignored.

Don't be too sure of that...

Jeter is a scam too, I think that was the conclusion reached in the other thread.

Thanks for the heads up Scott. We were discussing this moron in another thread here earlier today:

    Jackazz
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
  • His cards are dissapearing, bids were cancelled.

He responded that he has the cards and admitted that he "borrowed" scans from other sites. We'll see what happens next.

FWIW, here's a pick this guy "Rick Briggs" sent me showing the Mantles in his hand with a strip of paper showing his eBay User ID. Many questions remain, obviously...

The 52 Topps Mantle he is holding has the same cert # as the one he had pictured on ebay, but it is not the same card. I remember looking closely at the one he had pictured on ebay, it didn't have the black border between the white where Mantle's name is, and the yellow surrounding the yankee logo.
This guy should have his hands cut off, Afghanistan style.
  • I just noticed that the Hank Aaron he sold and got positive feedback has an issue with the scans he posted. The close up and the card "in hand" are different cards. If you look closely at the borders, you'll see that one is OC to the left, the other OC to the right.
  • One more thing, this is why PSA needs to do something better with their holders......I hate to say it but you don't see many of these issues with BGS cases
