Tax Day coin-cidence

I'm in DC for the day and received my first 2009 "Presidency" Lincoln cent in change. I think there are only 5 of these cents circulating in the whole country! It's just like finding a 1913 Liberty nickel in the back of your dads closet but totally different.

This does sound like a kwinkydinker. I just got an 09-D with the capitol construction on the back. That's it is it not.

I've been finding quite a few (of the 2010's). At the mall the other day I overheard a couple at the check-out counter examining the new cents. "Wow those are cool!"

I still think of Civil war tokens everytime I see one.

Yes and no. I participated when it rolled through my CO town...here in DC for work.

Good for you! At least you don't live south of DC and have to commute on 95!!!
