Blue Sheet and Grey Sheet TPG pricing question

Re 3/5 Blue Sheet Two examples:

1921 Peace MS-63 PCGS $325. 1883-O Morgan MS-65 PCGS $113
" " " NGC $325. " NGC $112
" " " ANACS $225. " ANACS $ 75

Grey Sheet Bid: $350 " $170 !!

An ANACS graded coin is only worth 69% and 66%, per the above, of a
PCGS or NGC graded coin ? !

Why is the dealer-to-dealer Grey Sheet price so out of line for the Morgan?

Thanks for your opinions!

Greysheet numbers are constituted from a medley of current bids from CCE and perhaps other dealer electronic trading networks at the time of writing. Because Greysheet is more geared towards sight seen prices, the information used to indicate their numbers are taken from the sight seen bids.

The problem with sight seen bids is that they are exactly that...for sight seen coins. Any bidding member can place a sight seen bid as low or as high as they desire, but whether they will actually honor those bids is another story. Because the bids are sight seen, the bidder can in theory, without technically dishonoring his bid, refuse to pay his bid number when a potential seller attempts to "hit" those bids. It's sort of hard to explain but the experienced dealers know what this all means.

It's also important to know that Greysheet numbers won't decrease unless there's a new lower sight seen bid. Most often specific dates in any given series won't have specific bids placed on them unless the date is a very scarce date or key date.

As for the 1883-O Morgan as previously cited, there really was a sight seen bid for MS65 examples at one time. Real Morgan dollar dealers know that the 1883-O date is in reality a common date and would never in their right minds ever charge close to $210 for an MS65 coin or when buying, pay anywhere close to that price.
