PCGS Plus (+) for Jump-Grade Coins -- Benefits to Owner & PCGS Grading Guarantee

So far, I don't have a Dog in this Hunt as I have not yet submitted my Free Quarterly Submission to test drive the New PCGS Secure Plus grading. However, I have been giving some thought to which of my coins might be worth submitting for this new service and why.

It seems to me that the coin submissions that may potentially derive the most commercial value would be Jump-Grade Coins that are valued at 5-20x in the next higher grade (such as 1890-P Morgan Dollar with 15-20x Price Increase from MS-64 to MS-65).

It seems logical that those coins would have to be "No Question" locks to receive the upper portion of the Jump-Grade to justify both the grade and the PCGS Grading Guarantee. The creation of a Plus (+) allows a bit of additional grading flexibility to reward an upper decile low-end of the Jump-Grade with a (+) that may warrant a market value between the Lower and Upper Jump-Grades, and thus would establish a median price for PCGS Grading Guarantee purposes.

I'd be interested in others' thoughts and feedback on this. Thanks! image
