More counterfeit coin news.

A dealer at the Santa Clara expo showed me three counterfeit 1960's silver Mexican medals, Mexico City mint . Although not high value( $35 retail each), they were extremely well done and would have passed through most of the dealers as real. I was very impressed. Look out.

You were impressed? I assume that is a series you have a specialty in? image

I love classic Mexican coins and medals. Yes, I have handled hundreds of these particular medals in the past. They were very well made and if the dealer had not pointed them out as counterfeit, I would have assumed authentic.
