04/06/2010 Flea Market find

Just got back from a local flea market that I hadnt been to in years. I found lots but only grabbed a few things I was interested in.

This card I have been searching for over 3 years for. I been searching net and local card shops for any example in any condition. I never saw one until now. I snagged this one for a buck! image

2003 McDONALD'S DEREK JETER N.Y. YANKEES

I also snagged these as well for a buck each...

So I am only in for 5 bucks right now.

Then I came across these for 2 bucks each. Face value image

So for under 20 bucks I scored some what I think is some pretty cool stuff. Especially the 2003 MickeyD's Jeter card. I am pretty stoked image

  • Nice! I have been enjoying going to out of state flea markets and antique stores and have gotten some decent deals . Some gems are still to be found!

I once went to a 24 hour 7 day a week flea market in Kentucky. It was weird. It was set in a building like an old grocery or department store and there was one person working the front. If you saw something you like they go get it for you and you pay them. They write down the vendor number so the money goes to that vendor. I picked up a Graig Nettles rookie card for $7.00. It was a unique experience and everytime I look at that card I think of that place.

I once bought half case of 1990 Pro Set English Soccer that was mildewed for $20 at a flea market. I stored them in my parent's garage. My mom threw them out about a year later. That was my last flea market purchase.

  • Those 2003 McD's were addicting to go for back then. Never got the Jeter, but did get a Matsui...
