1989 OPC Football Packs?

Does anyone know what these packs contain? My guess is they are regular Topps cards in OPC packs for Canadian distribution. Beckett lists a 1989 UK/America set but it says it is only 32 card and was distributed as a complete set.

Wow, I have never seen those before, do you only have one?
  • Bought a few of these back in the day. Yes, they are regular Topps cards repackaged by O-Pee-Chee for Canadian distribution. Nothing special about the cards.

The 1989 UK set comes in a box (like playing cards) sealed to a blister backed card. There were no packs.

Found a few of these in a lot I won in an auction yesterday. Never knew they existed.

Is there an opc traded set? I think all of the notable rookies are in the traded set. Might be worth getting a Irvin or Thurman Thomas opc rookie since it seems like there is an endless supply of 89 score
Scans of most of my Misc rookies can be found <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://forums.collectors.com/m...y&keyword1=Non%20major">here
  • The packaging would be the only significant difference. It's a 20 year old set and it would be common knowledge if there were an OPC style card (i.e different stock, rough cuts, etc.). There is no OPC Traded set either. I do wish there was a Tiffany version though.
