I turn 30 in 10 days. It's a happy / sad kinda thing. The 20's flew by and I look back and they don't seem too far away. I'm sure 30-40 has its own set of challenges besides losing a step or two. For those of y'all that are over 30, do the women react differently when you tell them you are 30 as opposed to your 20's if they aren't 30?

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
30 is good, but MUCH older is MUCH better. Good finances/health, of course, are critical to making that so.
The supply of young women is massive to "old guys" with resources AND a reasonably pleasant manner.
At 30, most folks are not fully in touch with their own mortality; they don't understand that to "get old," they need to continue to stay alive. Old guys already passed that test.
MOST of all the comfort of "experience" brings a sense of peace and the kind of self-control and patience that is "priceless." NEVER having to wonder about how to respond/react to ANY circumstance is the best reward of living a long time.
You gotta stay healthy AND make money to get there. Good Luck!

I turned 30 in July and it sucked. Nothing more than just the psychological impact of hitting that number we all considered old as children. I guess it didn't help that my hot 21 year old blond girlfriend broke up with me the week before, but I would say that was as close to being depressed as I can remember. That being said, the sun rose the next day and all was right in the world again. But to answer your question on the girl situation, yes they do react differently. Girls in their 20's think you're old and cougars aren't interested because you aren't young enough for them.
How do you get over it? You do what I did...buy a new car, grab a few friends and get your ass to Vegas where there are enough girls and alcohol to make you forget your age and your name.
