    I'd say the serial # looks hand punched. Among every thing else looks fake!
    Avid collector of GSA's.

    It looks O.K. to me -- I believe the 'W' series were among the earliest bars that Engelhard made, so they aren't quite as nice looking as ones made a decade or so later.

    You can compare it to image (and see other 10oz Engelhard varieties at http://about.ag/Engelhard-10oz.htm).

    The serial number does look a bit different, but I've seen other Engelhards with serial numbers where you could see the rectangle outline of the stamp.
